Ali Yazzie is an accomplished writer and lyricist whose creativity is inspired by a lifelong love of words, shaped in part by her great-granduncle, Ralph Waldo Emerson. Over her 82 years, Ali has experienced the fullness of life; the joys, heartbreaks, and hard lessons that come with decades of living, including the loss of a child.

A mother of three daughters, a grandmother, and great-grandmother to a large, loving family, Ali has lived across multiple regions of the United States, gaining a rich perspective on human nature, culture, and the variety of life experiences. Her travels and experiences have informed her writing, giving her work a profound sense of empathy, observation, and insight.
