Over her 82 years, Ali has experienced the fullness of life; the joys, heartbreaks, and hard lessons that come with decades of living, including the loss of a child.

A mother of three daughters, a grandmother, and great-grandmother to a large, loving family, Ali has lived across multiple regions of the United States, gaining a rich perspective on human nature, culture, and the variety of life experiences. Her travels and experiences have informed her writing, giving her work a profound sense of empathy, observation, and insight.

Ali’s creative journey spans song lyrics, painting, and writing. Her song lyrics are recognized for their depth and poetic resonance, reflecting her fascination with language and expression. In recent years, she has also explored watercolor painting, recreating the intricate beauty of 16th- and 17th-century Chinese art—a pursuit that brings her joy and inspiration.
